The Atkin Brothers based in Sheffield produced flatware, hollowware and cutlery, a variety of good quality table utensils in silver and silver plate. The initials of the brothers were used on plated ware from 1853 to 1958. They had a retail outlet in London, where they also entered silver marks. Flatware bearing their maker’s mark was generally Sheffield marked, well made in traditional patterns. C J Vander of London and the Adie Brothers of Birmingham bought the company in 1958.

This trade catalogue is not dated but appears to be circa 1920 and is pre 1925 as the firm became a limited liability company in 1925 and then traded as Atkin Brothers (Silversmiths) Ltd.

142 Pages in total with well over 1,000 illustrations, all different, of nearly 200 types of goods. Each piece is named and priced and the goods are listed in 4 sections : Sterling silver, Electro-plate on nickel silver. Electro-plate on Britannia metal. Best Britannia metal.
