RichardB Posted November 30, 2010 Share Posted November 30, 2010 Dr James Kendrick states that Pin makers employ a great many Children some as early as six years of age, Mr P Edelston a principal in the firm of T Edelston and Co "We admit them as soon as they are able to reach the block, the fingers of ljttle ones are more fitted to handle the small work" But Mr John Morris Edelston, pin manufacturer ,says "We do not knowingly employ them as young as five years and a half old. We do not knowingly allow any to work under seven but when mothers bring them it is difficult to prevent it without being considered harsh".
