What happened to subscribers like Markbaby when the company went under?

Were they left out of pocket or owning totally useless equipment like those who bought the first generation of digital freeview boxes?

I was left with going back to BT . I loved Ionica, it was cheaper and had more features included for free than BT, including a second line and call diversion. Admittedly I was (and still am) left with useless equipment, but I hadn't paid a penny for it! In fact, THEY paid me to have it installed. There was a trial period on vastly reduced rates, and after that it was STILL cheaper than BT!

So, no wonder they went bust then.

I am no business minded economist but I even I can see the financial flaws in that arrangement.
