Hi History Buffs

Check this out a proper Lord Mayors show i think? When Sheffield was still cobbled.

Looking at the crowds gives a clue to the WW2 period. The majority of men seen are old or young boys. Could probably be a parade of Home Guard, Auxiliary Fire Service & WVS etc. during the war. Clothing looks right for the period as well. I don't really remember Sheffield having an annual Lord Mayor's parade until the very late 1960s.
