Guest SuzyC
1925 Kellys shows CS Rose Depot Manager Whitbreads Brewery So were Porter Wright part of Whitbread From what I can find on t´internet they were a subsidiary of Wiley & Co, later Stowells of Chelsea who were all subsidiaries of Tennants then Whitbreads. Whitbreads had a big acquision agenda in the 1950´s and 60´s taking over lots of small breweries and related drinks companies. Started brewing Heineken under Licence in 1968. SteveHB
From the 1965 trade directory; Porter Wright & Co. Ltd. Importers of Havana & Jamaica Cigars: Wine & spirit merchants, Millsands, S3. Millsands - it sounds like Whitbread/Tennent's.
