A bit like those tourist train that take you around tourist places, I went on one around the streets of Montelimar this year, I was convinced it would not get around some of the corners. Guest plain talker
Now that is a bendy bus That makes me think of the night ("knight?") bus, from Harry Potter, for some reason!
DaveH
That makes me think of the night ("knight?") bus, from Harry Potter, for some reason! That bus was unique in that it was a tripple decker. The comparison must come from its ability to squeeze through very small alleys and passageways. Someone else then tried to jump a double decker bus over 17 motorbikes and failed. They would have made it but half way across someone rang the bell to get off I'd like to see Clarkson and his chums try to jump a bus over 17 motorbikes Or even a motorbike over 17 buses. Or in Clarksons case, jump a Reliant Robin over 17 buses! (without rolling it at the other side!)

DaveH
....and here it is !!!!....... So who's driving the bus? They don't give many clues from the camera angles and shots regardless of what the 3 likely lads in the studio would have you believe. It doesn't appear to be one of them and it isn't even the Stig. Must be a proper trained stunt driver, - crashing vehicles and jumping big heavy vehicles which were never designed to be jumped in the first place is specialised stuff way beyond the driving skills of Clarkson, Hammond and May. I think Hammond found that out the hard way when he thought that a DVLA category A (car) driving licence qualified him to drive a rocket mounted on wheels and found out otherwise. Now that rocket on wheels would have been able to jump over quite a few other vehicles, after all Apollo 8 jumped over the moon lol

DaveH
great pic! I remember sitting on those seats on the "hinge" as a kid So what happens when you are sat on the seats on the hinge and it goes around a corner? I get the impression you would feel as though you were sat still but that the rest of the bus is moving relative to you. Very disorientating. Probably not recommended for those people who suffer from travel sickness easily.
