RichardB Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 The high Moors near to this Place, having, as is supposed, been set on Fire by some malicious Persons, continue now burning, and no Means hitherto made Use of can extinguish the Fire. In some Places it extends 30 Miles, at Ashover, near Chesterfield, the Inhabitants are in great Terror, the Earth being all on a fiery Gloss for four Yards deep : Two Barns near that Place have already been consumed thereby Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
