RichardB
Is it the Stag or Union? http://www.sheffield...indpost&p=19247 http://www.sheffield...indpost&p=17853 Thoughts Highly likely both are correct and its the same place. The Union was once the most popular pub name, many earlier pubs changed their name - then probably changed it again some time after the act of Union. You missed the Old Stair, 15 Lambert Croft (likely a badly transcribed "Old Stag"). Tarlington and Cocking seem to cover all three entries which are all one and the same place.
