I've been trying to decipher an address from the 1901 census. It looks like Radford Place. The previous address on the same page so assume the same route is St Philips Road. Any help would be appreciated. Mumf

Not named on this crop taken from the Bacons map,

but I would say it is the right area.

1925 Kelly's could help.

Relating the description to the map I'd say we're looking at Radford Place. (Assuming the photographer got the numbers right)

Photo taken from the path in front of whatever was on the cleared space at the end. (Possibly no 99 before it was demolished.)

The 2 sets of WCs (Right foreground and left centre) seem to fit in well.

Boozer at 99 Upper St Philips Road (entirely invisible on the picture) was "The Bramwell" (marked PH, bottom right on the 1950's map - didn't last much beyond that).

My goodness you have been busy.

My man is not listed, he was at no. 5 but I was interested to see Slack Sellars and Gray saw manufacturers as his Mother was a Sellars. I don't think it was the same family, she was distantly related to the Sellars Salve lot.

I realise most of this is of no direct interest; it does, however stop my chewing my own toenails out of boredom. I'll stop it now and allow the Nursing staff to tighten the straps.

Most important muscle of all; especially when researching something you know is of no direct relevance to anyone; however, important to keep on keeping on - the more we ask of ourselves and others - the more we all know.

I have a special interest in the "Sellars Salve Lot". Maria Sellars born 1799 ( whose name appered on every box ) was my great great grandmother. What do you know about them? Any info would be appreciated.
