I'm at a bit of a disadvantage here, I don't have a pound key on my keyboard and I'm fed up of writing p-o-u-n-d-s in full. Is there anything I can do? I assume you guys have a pound key where my $ key is. And do you have a Euro key?

Hold down the Alt key and enter the numbers 0163,

should give you this £

My keyboard has £ on Shift 3 and $ on shift 4 but I do need to use alt and code 0128 using the numeric pad to get the Euro sign, €

All sounds confusing to me ..

If the European Union had not adopted a common currency (except for Britain using its veto) and introduced the Euro (€) it would be even more complicated. :o

The keyboard would have to have symbols for the Franc, Belgian Franc, Deutchmark, Peseta, Escudo, Italian Lira, Guilder, Kronig, Krona and with the recent eastern expansion of the EU possibly a few more as well.

Nice to know.

Is there a way of typing the "Circa" symbol ?

"I suspect the answer will be no."

I'm a bit lost vox as to what a 'Circa symbol' looks like,

have done a search in Google images and it comes up with a lots of images

that all appear to be different.

So what is the 'Circa' symbol you talk of please.

Is it a bit like the copyright symbol, © which is alt 0169 on my computer, but with an incomplete circle around the letter c ?
