Jeremy and Myself have constructed a Google Interactive Map for the OS Maps, this can be found in post #1 of the main map topic

http://www.sheffieldhistory.co.uk/forums/i...ost&p=22162

As with any embedded map there are 2 ways to use it

1. Within the post, just click on the zoom and drag the map as you wish

2. Click on the "View larger map" link this will open up a new window.

In either case click on the square you require this opens a box with a link.

Be patient with this map as there is a lot of data and can be slow to up date.

Lastly both myself and Jeremy are only human and there could be errors, let us know by PM 1st before you post criticism :)

Magnificent. If there are errors, hopefully they will be corrected in time and the whole thing will be even better. Most impressed Chaps.

Once you are happy everything is working as it should would it be worth contacting the OS again to let them know what you have achieved ? Sure they would be impressed.

What a marathon effort, great results.

Of course the one I'm looking for isn't there yet ;-)

Does anyone have the area between Talbot Street, Duke Street and Granville Street?

I'm looking for a large scale map of Lord Street, in particular around house number 126!

I bought what was offered, received more than I expected then spent 6 months scanning them in bits, SteveHB stuch 'em back together, a marathon effort indeed, still amazes me we got done what we did. Shame about missing pages though there should be other maps (a few) to come online when they are clear of copyright.

The maps, I believe, now reside under Trefcons bed.

Frank Knott, 126 Lord Street, Park (1911)

My 1957 Kelly's is 30 miles away at work.
