The Izal-impregnated Hitler toilet-roll must have raised a few spirits; not seen a picture of it on here I don't think.

Here is a picture of the Izal factory on Station Road, Chapeltown.

Newton Chambers manufactured ,during WW2, amongst other things, Churchill tanks…one of which in the 2000s was on a display plinth on the site of the works and small naval vessels which were assembled,I believe, at Selby on the river Ouse.

A major local company, a large scale employer and, like so much else, sadly no more.
