Guest abcman
Sarah Bernhardt appeared at the Lyceum on Thursday July 14th 1898 for a Matinee only performance at 2pm with the Entire Company from the Renaissance Theatre Paris in her famous play 'La Dame Aux Camelias'.I believe these were known at the time as 'Flying Matinees'. She appeared at the Lyceum again on Thursday July 14th 1904 in an evening performance only of the same play. In 1905 on Thursday July 13th, again at the Lyceum she appeared in one evening performance of 'Pelleass Et Melisande' with Mrs Patrick Campbell. Guest Noise Heat Power
[Let's see if we can generate some noise, heat and power with this one as a starting point ...] Ha ha, sorry - only just seen this. The only instance I knew about was July 1904, as cited by abcman above. I think I would probably defer to his excellent knowledge in this matter!
