The question, whatever happened to Bungay St?

The simple answer is they just demolished the houses

For those that are not sure where it was

This PictureSheffield photo looks to be about the same position as photo 14

PictureSheffield says that the cross street is Turners Hill -- so you're right, the viewpoint is probably closer to your photo 13

Town and Country Planning Act, 1947

The Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that

he proposes to make an Order under section 49 of

the above Act authorising the stopping up of Granville

Lane, Turner Hill, Bungay Street, Bungay Lane, and

lengths of Norwich Street and Gilbert Street in the

Park Hill redevelopment area of Sheffield in order to

enable Sheffield City Council to use the land as an

open space in accordance with planning permission

granted under Part III of the Act.

Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be

inspected in Room 434, Ministry of Transport, 21-37

Hereford Road, London W.2, and at the Sheffield

C. & C.B.C. Offices, Town Hall, Sheffield 1, free of

charge at all reasonable hours during three months

from date of publication of. this notice.

During three months from 26th February 1960, any

person may by notice to the Minister of Transport,

21-37 Hereford Road, London W.2, object to the

making of the Order quoting HL 23/192/045.
