Guest Hank
Could'ne believe it when they knocked it down. One of the first pubs I had a drink in. Some friday night it would be full of pigeon fanciers, Monday were best topless go-go dancers (female).

Guest Hank
The last landlord was a right tw*t, everybody hated him. He hated any record on the juke box that lasted more than 3 mins, so we would put on Sebastian by Cockney Rebel which lasted approx 11min, his face was a picture. (And no I have'nt got a thing about pubs & juke boxes)
Guest sheffsteel
My friends from that side of town used to say there were fights there every weekend without fail. It did seem to have a real reputation for trouble during the 80's. I only ever went in once, saw the Barry McGuigan fight live (think it was on BBC1, the days before Sky Sports existed) and yes there was a minor scuffle later in the night involving a small group of lads. But it ended as quickly as it started and no one seemed that bothered anyway.
