Syl
Hi All, I wonder if anybody can help please? My Great Grandfather Thomas Windle died in the first quarter of 1901 in either Chapeltown or Ecclesfield. I thought that with them only being small villages at the time I might be able to trace the burial ground or is this mission impossible?

Nothing is impossible if the records are available and these are at the archives. Could this be him 21st March 1901 Thomas WINDLE aged 58 of Wincobank buried Ecclesfield St Marys. Taken from the transcriptions by S&DFHS and available on disc. Angela

Angela Thank you so much yes that is him I know he lived at Wincobank in 1888 when he had his youngest son but when I saw that his death was registered as Wortley thought he must have moved back to Ecclesfield where he was born.
