Guest roystonowl
Is it the 5-4 win over Man Utd ? Ellis, Ritchie and another celebrating Withams' hat-trick? Great days.

What a great day that was, and yes the "other" player is Fantham.

What irony followed those 2 great victories. We beat the European champions 5-4 on Saturday and 4 days later lose 3-1 at 4th div Exeter in the league cup We beat L***s ( who went on to win the league that season I think) 3-1 in the FA Cup 3rd round but in the next round lose to 2nd division Birmingham after a replay. typical bloody Wednesday!!! What a night out that was. Peter Eustace was on fire that night as well. I will post more pictures and the match report tonight.

I will post more pictures and the match report tonight. The highlights were on the TV that night and I can remember, when we were 3-1 up and trying to run the clock down, Peter Eustace blasted a free kick straight out of the ground to waste time. My dad's comment was "at last, they're learning"; regrettably they weren't!
