Guest bilgear
I would like to locate some National Service friends, Colin Hill, Peter J. Potts, Tommy Cooper and any one else who went through basic training at Pontefract Barracks with the York & Lancaster Regt, August 1953, group number 5316. Colin and Peter were both from Sheffield and Tommy was from Oughtibridge. Our drill sergeant was Sgt. Pop Coates assisted by Cpl's Anderson and Hulbert, I believe that Mel Hulbert was from Chapletown

I suggest (if you haven't already done so) you try putting an entry on Forces Reunited at http://www.forcesreunited.org.uk/ John
