Sketchleys Sheffield Directory 1774

Though not classified under "Silver and plated manufacturers", the following list of names and marks of cutlers, etc. (connected with the silver and Sheffield plated industry), are found on the pages of Sketchley's Sheffield Directory, 1774.

This data pre-dates any directory/listing I have seen so far.

More details/history on any/all of the above gratefully received.

Sketchley's huh, even I'm impressed that someone has some detail from that. The CD would make a great Christmas present for me, if only it was available ...

Looking for a late 18th century (likely Sheffield maker) maker with the hallmark "G. JOHNSON". Possibly a maker of case or table knives. I've checked the 1787 Cutlers Directory with no luck..... Any info would be helpful.....Thank you
