Guest NeilM
Bear with me as this is a genealogy question as much as a history question and just trying to figure something out. When looking at census records for ancestors I'm trying to figure out what an Ecclesiastical parish is and hence where was the Ecclesiastical parish of 'Golcar within Ecclesall Bierlow? I'm guessing this might give me a clue as to where (which church) particular ancestors were baptised / married / buried and thus offer new leads? Thoughts? TIA N
