I'd like syrup to see what address is for the 1871 Halfway House. Please We have a John Fawcett at a beerhouse but is it Attercliffe Road or Britannia Road? Well that's easy , he moved on up the road . Could be the same place , you know how they were dithering with the street names in those days.

Plus i have a Henery Sanderson 35 Blacksmith & Publican Unempd at Half Way House 80 Britannia Rd, Attercliffe Cum Darnall 1881 Census Thank you syrup , the John Fawcett Halfway house is like Richard said , on Tinsley Road which is neither Attercliffe Road or Britannia Road, So imagine in those days would Tinsley Road be classed as Britannia Road or Attercliffe Road, I suggest the latter. Every time I've seen Britannia Road printed it is always followed by Darnall. As for the 1881 Henery Sanderson publican , unemployed , so nothing's changed then. I shall put it on the A to z though, is that how it was spelt on the census , Henery?
