With a bit of experience in Sheffield Pubs history, I'm looking forward to the end of your "S" Pubs Ukelele Lady because, when I did the original (flawed; but a starting point) listing, I know that "S" was the beginning of the end.

Yours has been a remarkable input to this resource; I believe you are the best there is at what you do - Lawrence and me discussed it at length and decided "publish and be damned", otherwise I'd still be waiting on a starting point.

I must also re-iterate my appreciation of the work of early-believers Tsavo and DobberD - when the A-Z was first mooted as an idea and they put their backs into the task like you wouldn't believe.

I'll take a bow lol

But you're right with the S being the beginning of the end, not many more to go now

other than a load of misfits that we can sort later. Then of course there's 1923 to 1951  :o

As you probably can appreciate I'm more interested in the misfits - been too long on the others to be enthralled (other than your updates)

1939-45 should prove a refreshing challenge for us both ...

One for Richard. Please look at the Sheaf Tavern / Inn Sheaf Street

Sheaf Tavern 2 Cattle Market and

Sheaf Tavern / inn 11 Effingham Road [ I have 2 Effingham Street ]

They all have the same keepers most likely the same place, I believe Effingham Road is meant to be Street.

Here's what I have , note change of address while John Thorp is keeper.

The Sheaf Tavern 2 cattle Market / 2 Effingham Street

1828, 29, 33, John Thorp = New Cattle Market

1834, 39, John Thorp = 2 Cattle Market

1841 John Thorp = 2 Effingham Street

1845, 49, John Chadwick = 2 Effingham Street

1852, 56, H Ward = 2 Effingham Street

1859 , 62, 63, Thomas Pattinson = 2 Effingham Street
