I'm up to date up to here; Billy the Mountain gave me enormous pleasure; it's a song, a long song that I've been struggling with (comprehension-wise) for many, many years.

The Old White Lion 3 Wicker

I think the Elizabeth England 1822 on A to Z belongs to the New White Lion

But then :

Old White Lion, William England, Wicker

from Pigot's 1810-20 Commercial Directory suggests "England" at the Old White Lion with no mention of New White Lion or even a White Lion in addition.

Have a look

Elizabeth England is at the White Lion [ no mention of old or new ] in 1828 & 1829 Pigot's

She is also at the New White Lion 1n 1833 [Whites ] in the same year George Edward Dawson

is at the Old White Lion.

Think about it.

Don't you agree that this is the same Nelson as the other Nelson on the A to Z at Moorhead?

Same keepers, pre 1960s before the new one was built.

As you will have seen , I have put Joseph Gould 1856 & 1859 in the Norfolk at 56 Savile Street

as there were no number written at the side of it and you have this Norfolk Arms above as opening in 1864 so

I thought JG would most likely belong to tuther.

He's at both at the moment.

It's much easier when both pubs appear together in the books as they then started to do in 1868.
