Victoria, 631 Attercliffe Road, Mrs Ann Burnd (probably Burns)

Victoria, 237 High Street, Attercliffe, Edward Rhodes both on my list for 1871 - just for consideration ...

The Victoria 237 High Street Attercliffe and the Victoria 621 Attercliffe Road are one of the same.

The address change came when Edward Rhodes was in residence in 1888.

Ann Burnd [ as it is spelt on syrups census ] is at the Victoria 20 Tinsley Road. I also have another one for

the Victoria Tinsley road. 1859 Ann Capper. We don't seem to have Victoria , Tinsley Road on the A to Z.

I'm liking the sound of this - could you have unravelled a mystery and found an unknown one ??

For the benefit of newer members - we decided long ago to put up an A-Z with the best information we had at the time and to invite constructive critism to improve that listing. It been a long, hard road to travel and many people have put in good work - the task continues - the list gets better and better - some of it takes a while, some comes easy,

If you have any details of Sheffield Pubs to share, we'd be more than happy to receive it for consideration - Ukelele Lady and me have nothing better to do for the next 3 years ... he he except, perhaps to meet one day and share a drink.

I'm intrigued!!!!!

It's not at all interesting unfortunately - it's just a big bunch of hard slog - can only really be done by one person ... if you're intrigued and interested then we need to talk. We could do with some fresh meat, sorry talented individuals willing to help

As a matter of fact it's a "call to arms" to all the usual suspects and anyone else with a little time on their hands - I just need to split my data into A, B, C, D etc etc and get my data in sync with the A-Z as updated by Ukelele Lady.

I'm a bit miffed about the name on 1951, Elijah Birch . Surely it can't be the same oldman of 1890?

And was the Woodman still open in 1951?

Agree, remove 1951 please. If he's real and proveable we'll meet him again some sunny day.
