An auction of 'Dwelling Houses' was held at the Travellers Inn, the House of Henry Wales 11th Feb 1853 at Six O'Clock in the evening. Dates updated to main list.

Rear of Travellers Inn, Attercliffe Road, 1987 From 1780 until around 1890s the Travellers was run by the Miller family. The 1960s Peter Swan (ex. Sheffield Wednesday player) was landlord for a number of years.

I thought I knew (and had visited) every Sheffield pub with an organ through the 70's and 80's, but this was news to me.

I had never even noticed the pub when I've driven past and was amazed to find there was a Lafleur organ inside, such a rarity that I've never seen one before.

This despite having played at many of Sheffield's pubs in those years and knowing many organists.
