JohnH
Dianne Lee of Peters and Lee was from Sheffield. They got to number one in 1973 with Welcome Home. The song was sugar coated sentimental nonsense but as a chart topper, I think Dianne deserves a place on the list.
dunsbyowl1867
I can't see the iconic "They Must be Russians" from late 1970s/Early 1980's. One of them left and started a fanzine called NMX and I think ran that printing comapny JUMA. Saw them quite a few times - high point a song called "Don't Try to Cure Yourself" Don't ask ! Guest zep
Bruce Dickenson is an artist, but if that's allowed, John Valentine Carruthers from Ecclesfield played in Clock DVA and later with Souxie and the Banshees among others.

Guest tungsten
I was in a couple of bands in the late 70s. One was Reactor. Played around Sheffield and supported UK Subs in Bradford. Second was Molodoy. Played the Limit, Crazy Daisy etc and supported Sham 69 at polytechnic Would be nice if someone remembered us. Can anyone remember the Right Right Bratty s. This is Molodoy posters all over Sheffield at the time? They had the Clockwork Orange Theme.

e3sa934
There's a new website - www.45cat.com - which has been set up to log all uk 7" 45's. I've started adding records released by Sheffield bands over the years , so this thread makes a good checklist. Head on over and add any I've missed ;-)
