Taken a lot of effort to make this as good as it is, which kind of implies it is not of the greatest quality. I've been hacking away at this on and off for a couple of weeks. Hopefully someone can gain some information/ideas from it.

Thank you Steve, blury and 'orrible (the Map, not you), but from an A4 print and with a lot of input and love - quite useful for its vintage.

I may try a higher resolution scan one day, try to beat the 14.5 Mb version I currently have - make some space in yer email account !

My 'Tyler Land & Mineral Surveyor' Map dated 1832

covers a much larger area with a lot more detail.

Probem is it's 35" X 22" in size

I'll check the scanning capability at Darlo; should be A0, need to check what resolution they can do ...

I could do a great job of that with my current scanner, in sections, very high res ... if you wish, got strong cardboard tubes spare ...
