Guest transit

Looks like halfway up/down Solly Street , - which is just up from West Bar police station . The red brick building looks like a a former pub and i think the whiter building may have been used as a aboxing/youth club in the early 80:s.

I think it is somewhere along the banks of the Don, maybe Neepsend or Effingham Rd / Attercliffe area.

Definately Solly Street ! The crane jib peering out of the roof was constructing the large new office/ apartments ? building recently built between West Bar police station and the Sytners BMW dealers .

Thanks Steve, I didn't know what it was, looks more like a factory or warehouse. Is it still standing and in use?

Looks like most of the Petre St area was redeveloped,

link here to a post in forum Topic 'Methodist Churches' in Sheffield' gives a year of 1980.

Just to add a bit - Methodist and Anglicans (not that there can be many left :( now share a modern quite ugly church in Ellesmere.
