These words and names are record in the above history. I think you have those who died - couldn't find West on your list.

"The staff which began with a secretary and a boy, is now counted at forty. At the commencement of the war, something like one-half of its number joined the forces, receiving their salaries and allowances while absent ; and on return got accrued increase of salary, as well as the same bonus as those who had, under great strain, carried on the work of the Bank, and cheerfully endured shortened holidays" (That must have been tough!)

The following are the names who fell in the war :

Corporal Frederick Mather - Sheffield City Battalion

Private Frank Appleby - Sheffield City Battalion

2nd - Lieut. Charles W. Budds KOYLI

Private Harry West - Middlesex Regiment

APPLEBYS & MATHERS papers survive on Ancestry.

I have an image of a Harry West but wether its the one we want i wouldn't know as the one i have is with the 5th York & Lancs. I have checked to see if there are any Harry West's that were with the York & Lancs as well as the Middlesex but not found any, so probably not our man.
