Dominators in Old Sheffield colours

Good stuff. I find it very odd that I have no recollection of 2160 in this livery, but I can remember all the other ones mentioned in this thread. The only bus in this version of the Rotherham livery I can recall was the rather more recent 60596, as seen here

Might as well include the Sheffield Transport liveried one as well:

Do you have a list of them that have been save ( old fleet numbers ex 2214 ) ?

Did all of Olive Grove's Doms go to Barnsley for scrapping ?

Anymore Sad Pictures  ?

There is a list of preserved Dominators here:

http://www.fge423x.info/content/dominator/preservation.html.

Don't know how comprehensive it is, though.

I don't really want to see anymore sad pictures. Although I know that the vast majority of buses have to be scrapped, it still upsets me to see photos of them, especially when I am old enough to remember them coming into service!

I know there are some picture of them been scrapped ( link on here ) but it seems to be a rare item to get anymore as I would love to know what happened to the Metrobus Mk2 that FSY had .

Im glad so many Domo's were saved. lol

The best Domo I used to drive was 2148 , it had been re-engined and you could get 30mph up the hill on Woodseats Road which was a god send he he

....shame to see the East Lancs bodied Demonstrater Dom - which SYPTE bought - (SHE 722S - 522) see pics below - didnt make it into preservation. but also glad a few of the Northern Counties type have been saved from the more common Alexander type.

...not quite Doms , but scenes from the main local scrapyards during the 70's-80's where most of the country's buses ended up - http://adosbuspics.fotopic.net/

....just scroll down to a topic. ;-)

...this one - JHE 167W , MK1 Metrobus , was sold on Ebay last year for around £1200 !!

I think it was sold by the SYTT group based at Tinsley Tram sheds , but dont know who bought , or of its wherabouts now . Hopefully we may see it back in the old SYPTE coffee and cream one day !..........
