Where is it ?

OK, Mystery Clock #12 is Steve's picture of, what looks like to me, another railway station clock.

Don't suppose it is though and at present I haven't got much of a clue.

It's not a railway clock I don't think. I've seen it somewhere recently but (You guessed it) -can't remember where.

Correct it is not a railway clock,

but nearest rail line is just 300 yds away.

Right then !- I'm off tomorrow with my rail network map and a tape measure.

Expect an answer about December.

Remember it's 300 yards vox, not 299 or 301 yards

...and certainly not 300 metres lol

The boards are covering where the St. Mary's Church clock was,

the clock (one of four) has been removed and sent away for servicing.

Back from servicing and maintainence and being refitted today

Going back like new and Wayne Beckett is nowhere in sight!

No luck with Steve's.

I had an idea where I might have seen it. A round black clock, bracketed, on a brick wall, very close to a railway line

There the similarities ended I'm afraid. he he

This one is very near to an extinct railway station. Where is it ?

Eee I don't know vox,

looks like you have thrown the towel in then lol

There can't be many boozers in Sheffield that have a clock on the outside wall.

A clock outside a boozer

Now thats the dodgy bit sorted.

Your clock says 5 to 12 in the picture, would be even dodgier if it was permenantly set to closing time

Is there a boozer called "the clock" or "the horologist" or the "what time is it Mr. wolf" or something?

It is an extinct station. I'm sure.

Edit:

Just checked again and I see where I went wrong.

I knew the station was at the junction of A--- Road and A--- Lane.

I now realise that A--- Lane has a junction with A--- Road at both ends.

The station was at the other end.

All those A----- Road, A-----Lane and C----K------Road is actually a big clue and has given me a few ideas as well.

Looks like vox messing it up may have helped the rest of us out.
