Mystery Clock

So you remember our clock then

Yes, it was a very dodgy clock down at the Rodley Inn

Firstly, it was on the outside of the building and not behind the bar

Secondly, it had permenantly stopped conveniently at about 10:30, in the days when boozer closing time was 10:30

This meant that your parents could kick people out all day long. he he

Right Steve knows this one but Dave has no idea (well not a serious one )

A slightly different view, same clock same time

Should "Dec" be on one side?

Must admit DD that it took me twenty minutes to work your question out

From that I now know you obviously know the location of Stuart's mystery clock.

Adam] lol

From those two I get (rightly or wrongly) ANT, but that's not helping me much either.

Is it Ant and Dec or Adam Ant?

Who is this Adam?

Why do we keep posting an extra [ symbol randomly in the post?

Or these all really cryptic clues? - in which case I am totally lost and confused.

Or is it just someone making typing mistakes?

Or is it Richard messing around?

Nobody mentioned Adam

Ant is the clue

Not Dec

Look ar vox's second quote box in post #132

There is definately an "Adam] lol "

Now while I will admit that ] lol is a very unusual surname, I am not seeing things and there IS an Adam.

You're just giving out duff clues now to act as dud decoys and put us off getting it right. <_<

Right a lot of confusion here

Let's start again

A clock on a historic building

Ant is a clue

See previous posts for photos

Sheffield Centre ish

Now this is a better clue

So is that one Ant or Dec?

Personally I can't stand either of them!

By the way, why are Geordies so thick that they only ever have 3 letter names?

Once worked with a Geordie woman called Karen, but she called herself Kaz.

She once told me her dad, who was a real Geordie, was really called Raymond but everyone called him Ray because they couldn't handle more than a 3 letter name :o

Funny though, in "The likely lads" (a couple of likeable Geordies, - not like Ant & Dec!), James Bolams character was ALWAYS called Terry (5 letters) and not Tez, but I must admit that Rodney Bewes character was "Bob" and not Robert. I sort of accepted this as I have several relatives called Robert who are all known as Bob.

Now that is dodgy!!!

As that is a Photo Shoped Saturday Take away advert can we asume we are looking for a Take away with a clock.

A take away with a clock ?

Or just a take away clock.

That would make it either a travelling clock or a wristwatch lol

I'm sure you have got the wrong end of the stick syrup,

thought that you would have known the answer to this one,

take a look at the building from a different angle.

;-)

It looks like it could be somewhere around Canal Wharf.

1st sensible idea theres been

Ant = anterior ? meaning the back face of an object ?

of Sheaf Works, Canal Basin.

Do I get the cocanut ? or even the coconut ?

HD

edit; A different dictionary gives a contrary definition--------- anterior meaning front face, view or plane.

Perhaps the clock appears on what was originally the front of the building, facing the street. Most of the photo's show the facade that faces the canal basin.

Sheaf Works Sheffield's first integrated factory building ? Now called Sheaf Quay

A coconut for the building but not for the Ant and Dec connection

syrup,

Surely you don't watch Ant & Dec's Saturday Takeaway do you? :o

Shame on you! :o

Now if the BBC wanted 2 really good local lads to present their programs they could get "Stuat & Dave"

If the BBC read this we are open to offers,

But make it more than £15,000,000 a year because that's what you waste our licence fee money on hiring the likes of Jonathan Ross and Terry Wogan and they are both crap, - we are much better than them.

No it isn't, see my message to the BBC in the previous post.

With a bit of luck you won't be unemployed for very long and moving into a multi million pound dead easy, money - fer - nowt job.
