markcwhite
I've been doing a bit of research into the building, and apparently there are a few ghost stories. Over the years it was used as a Cholera hospital during the epidemic in the 19th century and also, the company's accountant shot himself in his office during the 1940s after he was discovered to be fiddling the books. When it was converted to flats, apparently some builders refused to work there after they watched a huge concrete block fly across the site! I'm not a believer in stuff like that, but I'm still glad that I don't live in the actual flat that used to be his office!
