RichardB Posted January 18, 2009 Share Posted January 18, 2009 1837 According to the excise returns on July 2nd, there were 1,117 licensed victuallers and 781 beer sellers. Of the victuallers, 895 were brewers, as also were 281 of the beer sellers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We currently have 336 licensed victuallers; still some way to go then !
