Sheffield : Past and Present. Being A Biography Of The Town During Eight Hundred Years.

Published by – Sheffield : Thomas Rogers. [and] London : Bell & Sons.

First edition, with tissue guarded frontispiece and 15 other illustrations, xviii pp. + 343pp; royal 8vo; original brown cloth blocked in black, gilt, and blind

An important text much of which was incorporated into the third and definitive edition of Hunter's Hallamshire edited by the author.

So Early Happy Birthday to me then !

Close run thing, had to go out, just picked a Bid and ran away.

Dear BelligerentYorkshireman,

Thank you for your purchase ...

amuses my tiny intellect ...

now if only I'd chosen
