Hope this is in the right place, it could go in the War section or even in the Transport section!

Anyway here it is.

The inscription say's,

The 14 H.P. Bean 'Sundowner'

After it's sprint across Australia from Port Darwin to Sydney.

2826 mile's in 6 day's 18 hours, 420 miles a day through Australian Bush country.

Mr Francis Birtles, the 'Overlander', brings his car to the works of Hadfields Ltd, Sheffield.

'Where the steel comes from'

Messrs. Hadfields Ltd supply the steel for all the important parts of the Bean car.

If you Google Bean Sundowner you'll get the story behind the trek.

Then theres the Hadfield War Memorial on the wall to the left in it's original place, and how it looks now at Kelham.
