He wasn't the author; he was the translator. It was written in Latin (Junius Brutus) and French (Hubert Languet) though, as I'm sure you know Dunsby, it resembles Hotman's Frano Gallia and Languet's work is probably only an enlargement of Beza's work De Jure Magistruum.

I've only read the bit in Latin Watch out Bez is on the run from the old bill at the moment!
