Please can anyone tell me anything about the H G Long & Co Cutlery Manufacturers. I have posted a previous Topic being Barber and Biggin, but I have now found (by reading his obituary) that Henry Biggin, born 1833 was apprenticed to Messrs H G Long & Co, Hallamshire Works, Rockingham Street. After serving his apprenticeship he was taken into partnership and subsequently became chief proprietor.

I know that this Company went through various name changes - e.g. Long, Marsden & Co etc, but not even the Sheffield Archives seem to hold any information.
