Just found this photo I took, probably 2001ish.

Jeremy,

I'm sure that was my car, a Rover Maestro in the car park,

the year is 1997 or 98.

I guess that it could be as early as 98, it would surprise me though.

That has me thinking back now Jeremy,

if that was my car in your photograph 'and I'm 90% certain it is.

At the latest it would have been the first quarter of 1999.

I can't remember what year the buildings were demolished,

but there was an Archaeological dig where the car park was,

after that a local business man bought the plot of land and turned it into

a private park & pay

1999 seems possible. This photo comes from a set that I took for a web site. I thought that it was part of a group that I know that I took in 2002, but now I think about it more there may have been some from 1999 too.

Google Earth suggests that 1999 is a possibility:

Along with other properties in the area the Hare and Hounds was damaged in the Flood of 1864 and landlord George Ashmore made a claim not only for the public house and contents but also for 2 Workshops & 2 Hearths of Table Blade Forgers Tools in the Yard.
