Guest Old Canny Street Kid
Back in the late 1950s, when I was working as a clerk at the International Twist Drill Co in Watery Street, Sheffield, for a short time I had a colleague called George Vaughan II --that is how he signed his name, for he was the second George in his family. Plainly, he was a character! I know he came from Unstone, where I think his family kept a pub; and for someone who was working as a clerk he was very practical. For instance, he came to work in a car he had built himself! Does anyone know if he is still around?
