The building stands on a corner, next door to what was a well known PH,

that later became some sort of bar.

Never went in the bar, but the old pub had an air hockey table.

Thats a good description

Theres a photo on picture Sheffield with a sign, but I don't think it is the original sign.

So what was the corner building originally

Not so much a mystery location but a mystery item, I suppose the location comes into the second part of the question

Two questions

What is it?

Where is it? (within Sheffield)

DaveH I think I told you the other day, you can't have a go yet

Photo taken today 14/12/08

Before somebody else says it no I have not lost an umbrella

Item: Disused petrol pump of unknown vintage

Location: Car park, Fairways Public House, adjoining Birley Golf Course.

isn't it that bar that is across from the casbah? don't know what it's called nowadays.

The question is where is the Casbah?

if its where I think it is you are probably correct.

The mystery continues :)

Well, I'm told that the Casbah has now closed (?), but it's on Cambridge Street/ Wellington St. The building

in the picture used to be Henry's I think.

Just in (car gone to car heaven) and completely off the top of my baldy heed; Sportsman was number 24, so even numbered and lower than 24 ...

So what is the history of this corner
