The balloon is in the post,

but due to possible strike action by the postal workers,

there's no guarantee you will receive it in time for Christmas. :(

A few photos of Primrose Walk.

The first is at the Broadfield Rd end

Bottom of Hale St.

Near Abbeydale Rd

And a Google SView showing access from Abbeydale Rd.

Don't think I have ever walked the full lengh of 'Scotland Street'

image from Google SV

TO LET

WAREHOUSE

& OFFICES

Brass_Founders_Scotland_St___To_Let.pdf

Well done Steve, must have taken days to search every street using Google SV lol

I walk along quite regular, Brass Founders has been empty for some time, their last yellow pages must have been sticking out of their letterbox for about 18 months

An answer with a question

Are your bollards near my bollards? lol

Not what I would call 'near'

And I don't recollect that being the original site of the gate posts either.

I was going to ask you about the gate posts, I thought the same the other day when I walked past

Lets keep it open see if anybody else knows where they are (2 sets of mystery bollards)

And both sets of bollards can be seen on Google SV,

so any member getting both locations wins a bladder of lard.

Stuart had already got it down to Sheffield & Hallamshire Bank Boundry in post #925, and he was contemplating where and which bank at that point

So all we need to do is pick it up from there.

Sheffield & Hallamshire bank became part of Midland Bank

So we have Church St, I have searched that area and can't find said plaque.

Then the corner of High St/Angel St (now Weatherspoons) was that a Midland, and it has also been one of Busman's mysteries already.

Where else has there been a Midland Bank

Well all the old Midland banks are now HSBC banks, and there are quite a lot of them.

I'm told that HSBC stands for Hong Kong & Singapore Banking Corporation, but that can't be right as it would have to be HKSBC

I once started a rumour that HSBC stood for "Have Some Bloody Cash!", which is the least likely thing they will say to you when you walk into their premises lol

There are too many instances on the internet which have it as standing for Hong Kong & Singapore Banking Corporation for it not to be so. I think.

I still think my version of what it stands for is better though

Not church st and not weatherspoons at castle sq

Remember it could still be a bank

You are correct it is now part of HSBC

You did say in an earlier post it was central Sheffield ? Does that still apply

Don't think I did

It ISNT central sheffield

Right I mis-read your post

"My plate is not at the end of a path it is in the open in a busy shoping centre is sheffield "

I have been wasting my time then looking at al the pavements in Sheffield Centre, I did find 20p whilst doing it lolhe he

Right then widen the net as they say :)

Just checked it Stuart, bus man never did say it was central Sheffield but we seem to have assumed that from a previous or ongoing similar mystery that this one has become tangled up with.

There are loads of HSBC formerly Midland banks in Sheffield so we need a few extra clues to get the general location first.

Are there 2 of these plates at this location,

Will PM my answer to Busman
