DaveH
I suspect I don't have a clue where/what this is ... Looks like part of a bridge, possibly? Across the Don or the canal, maybe? One of the bridges on these Don valley walks which feature in several other threads, perhaps? Probably wrong but just a few ideas.

DaveH
It is a bridge and it is over the Don Hugh Good guesswork on my part and I may have given others a few clues, but not an area I know particularly well so I am out of ideas. Is it one of the bridges around the Kelham Island area?
HughW
Is it one of the bridges around the Kelham Island area? No here's another view... supplementary question - where do the steps on the right go to? Hugh
vox
History in the making - a week ago I couldn't get close to these... Hugh If you couldn't get close a week ago then it's probably still under construction. It' on the Don. It's painted blue and I can see some stone work on one picture. Ergo - Must be Club Mill. I was very happy to find that I could walk across it this afternoon after a session of chopping bracken and photographing gravestones. You would not get too far, I think... I reckon it might be the entrance to the now-defunct Heeley station? (judging on Ponsfords being opposite the gates, in the second photo?) Stuart0742
Keeping with this theme, Where's this Courtesy of Google St View Siren guessed it was a public toilet, but got the location wrong. There is a pub/hotel next door, although it is a bit of a trendy winebar come restaurant come hotel. About 400 yds away is a historic location
