Bayleaf and bus man share the prize.

It's Whirlowbrook Hall built 1906, in Whirlowbrook Park,

39 acres of public park land.

One of the former homes of Industrialist Sir Walter Benton-Jones (1880-1967)

Now used for weddings, parties, meetings and conferences

I assume this will be an easy one

On which Sheffield building is this found

It can then go into the Datestone's Topic

What is it and where

Not sure what it is, the location is Commercial St, in the background ramp leading down to where the old rag and tag was, nr the Ibis Hotel.

Guess at what it is something to do with the old tram wires/posts

I thought I knew that name - I live near a house called Irnham Hall in Lincolnshire which is owned by Sir Simon Benton Jones - hmn perhaps I should see if he wants to go out for a beer and discuss our shred Sheffield heritage!!

Guest plain talker

Not much of a mystery ;-) but not immediately obvious where this is - I think I know - anybody else?

Is it Barnsley Road, near the toll bar by Abbeyfield Park?

I think these days you'll find the junction with Horninglow road just round the next bend.

Due to computer / ISP / server problems I am a little out of touch with this thread.

As far as I can tell there is only the "Sheffield Building Society" picture in the previous post by Stuart0742 which is still current.

To kick start the mystery location a bit and get it going again here is one of the easier ones again.

Using Stuarts "look upwards" rule, where is this porthole in a high wall?
