I am a Carpenter/Joiner by trade and still a good 60% of my hand tools are Reord/Marples that I have been using for over thirty years. Now that is quality.

Sadly, quality is no longer sufficient for the survival of a company. For some reason we now accept that cost is more important than reliability and good workmanship.
