My great grandparents were married her in 1910. The church was built in 1867/8. The freehold was given my William Wake of Osgathorpe in memory of his son Charles who had died in an accident in the Serpentine. The Wakes and The Duke of Norfolk gave a further £500 each toward the building.

The architects were Messrs Innocent & Brown of Prior Court, Sheffield and the contractor was John Milner. The estimated cost was £4,700.

I have just come across this old post, thanks  dunsbyowl1867 , it's nice to see a bit of old Attercliffe survives, even though all the houses around have gone. As the post is ten years old I checked on Google Earth to make sure it was still there.

my mum and her sisters attended church here. 1920s - Was there a school attached too as I know they went to a Catholic school in the area? They lived on Newhall Rd?

Yes the school was on Heppenstall Lane, you can see it on the map above posted by SteveHB .  If you search for St Charles School and/or Heppenstall Lane in the search box above I think there are a few posts mentioning it, including a reunion from some years back.

EDIT added a couple of clips from Google Earth of the old school gable end.

When I attended St.Patricks Church Youth Club, Sheffield Lane Top, in the mid to  late 1950s we would sometimes go over to dances at St.Charles. Other times it would be to dances at St.Thomas More at Parson Cross and at at a little chapel on Herries Road, now a funeral directors.
