The Sheaf Market also known as the Rag and Tag Market in Sheffield City Centre

Park Hill flats up in the background on the top of the hill

You can also see a sign/advertisement for 'Turners' - does anyone know what this is?

People shopping in the old Rag and Tag market, although it's looking pretty empty on the right hand side? Maybe the stalls were closed or even faced onto the other side?

In the background the new building that I always remember as housing Wilko's?

Another great shot of the old Sheaf Market, also known as the Rag and Tag market in Sheffield City Centre

I love photo's with people in them. There's something timeless about it.

Take a look at the coat on the lady on the extreme right hand side for example!

We bought the roof off the rag and tag as scrap, it was made of aluminium sheeting.

Great stuff - how long was it closed down before it was demolished?

Don't know how long it was closed, Aaron White demolished it and we bought the roof from him.
