hello Gill,

No I am not doing any one name studies :)

I have looked at the Sheffield Marriage Index, and searching Dec 1826 to Dec 1834 I found these 3 George HAGUEs:

Marriage at Sheffield Parish Church (SS Peter & Paul, now the Cathedral)

Volume X page 49 entry 146 (volume covers Feb 1828 to Apr 1829)

George HAGUE Catherine WINTERBOTTOM

Marriage at Sheffield Parish Church (SS Peter & Paul, now the Cathedral)

Volume Z page 33 entry 99 (volume covers June 1830 to Jul 1831)

George HAGUE Rebecca BROWNELL

Marriage at Sheffield Parish Church (SS Peter & Paul, now the Cathedral)

Volume B page 34 entry 100 (volume covers June 1832 to Feb 1833)

George HAGUE Harriet MILNER

The only way to get the exact date and the names of witnesses will be to look them up in the original volumes (on microfiche) in Sheffield Archives.

This could be the burial of the Rebecca from the second entry, and a possible child:-

Burials at St George's, Brookhill

HAGUE Rebecca 3 May 1853 Charlotte St 55y wi George

HAGUE William 31 Mar 1853 Charlotte St 17y so George

Hugh
