Where were Tipton and Bilston ,both in th Brghtside Bierow in 1851?

Bilston is on the A41 & Tipton a bit further south on the A463 in what is now the West Midlands...........probably Staffordshire in 1851.

Any help ??

It was near an hospital, Shrewsbury Hospital when it stood at Parkgate in the area of what is now Park Square roundabout.

Sorry I can't be more exact.

Ask John Smith, Victualler of the Pheasant, 9 Hospital Walk (1822) next time you're in there for a pint and a bag of "Miggins Scratchings"

The first Shrewsbury Hospital was demolished in 1827, so maybe that was when the named walk also changed

This is what has made me ask the question [ a pub of course ] lol

I'm just reading Pheasant, Hospital Walk but hadn't a clue where this could have been.

Thank you all.

On a 1901 census I have an address as " The Hall, Top Wincobank "

and the lady in question is down as an inmate. Was this a workhouse?
