Anyone know how and why it got its name?

I've always assumed Wilson Peck, who were the major music and instrument shop in Sheffield gave it the name.

There is a Leadenhall Market in the City of London, which is housed in a fine building, as I recall from my days in The Wen.

Hi madannie, love your new pic, avatar, whatever of the frightening train, shunter thingy..... lol

I've a sorry looking picture of a badge offered in the late Sixties for eating lots of crisps; prior to that it was a "500 Club" fella for reaching 500 posts ... any suggestions for an interesting avatar/picture thingie for me anyone; I'm not good at such things.

Nothing frightening about it, surely. It is a Yorkshire Engine Company "Janus" 0-6-0 diesel electric locomotive, works number 2690, built at Meadow Hall Works in 1959 and still at work at Appleby Frodingham. The picture was taken in 2008.

I thought I would give it a run out due to the recent discussion on Janus locomotives in the Orgreave Sidings topic. Overall I prefer the tram avatar, but then it's clear from this forum where my obsession lies :)

Still not got a clue about any Leaden Hall Market other than the one in London, though.

I´m afraid all large vehicles fill me with awe, probably because I had a too close encounter with a big truck when learning to drive, age 17, in my Mum´s Anglia he he

Quite a few mentions of Sim's Croft but nothing to show where it was yet.

Can't find Key Hill at all.

I'm as lost as everyone else with Key Hill.

Do you have premises or people's names for Key Hill, or a year please ?
